Meet Five-Year-Old Children’s Book Author, Ryeson Bull

Talk about extraordinary kids these days! We’re excited to introduce you to our friend and five-year-old children’s book author, Ryeson Bull. He and his mom, Shana Bull, wrote a delightful children’s book together when he was just two years old. Ryeson was born with Cystic Fibrosis, which mainly affects the lungs and digestive system.

The beach, with its fresh, lung-soothing, salty ocean air, is one of his favorite places to go. In fact, the Bull family was on a trip to visit family in Southern California when his storytelling developed. Read more about how this talkative & creative kid came up with the idea for the book after a trip to the beach.

Their best-selling children’s book is focused around Randall, a blue spider who goes surfing! Randall is nervous to surf in front of a crowd, but with the help of his friends, he conquers his fear. This first book in the Randall & Friends series, Randall the Blue Spider Goes Surfing teaches children about friendship, and how to identify their fears and overcome them with simple coping tools –– a valuable lesson for kids of all ages to learn.

Clover the Rainbow is all about supporting kids and powering their brilliance. Like Ryeson, you can do anything you set your mind to –– so be sure to eat a rainbow of healthy foods, be yourself and dream big!

Big thanks to Ryeson for sharing your uplifting sorry with the world. We are inspired by you. And thanks to our long time friend of Clover, Shana Bull, a Sonoma County native, writer and digital marketer with a focus on writing about travel, food, wine, music, and family life.
